VIRTUAL CLASS

BASIC IRA TRAINING

THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 4, 2021
$325

The Basic IRA Training program covers topics that individuals who work with IRAs deal with frequently. Attending this course is an excellent starting point for anyone who has little or no experience working with IRAs as it provides an introduction to the rules and regulations applicable to these accounts. Incorporated into the program are real-world scenarios which include comprehensive examples accompanied by Documentation Exercises allowing attendees to get a feel for many of the forms associated with completing IRA transactions.

TOPICS INCLUDE

Overview and Establishment, Regular Contributions, Distribution Basics, IRA-to-IRA Rollovers and Transfers, Required Minimum Distribution Basics, and Beneficiary Option Basics. Additional topics include IRS Forms 5498 and 1099-R reporting, financial organization responsibilities, with an emphasis on day-to-day operational procedures, and recent statutory and/or regulatory related events.

ADVANCED IRA TRAINING

THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 11, 2021
$325

The Advanced IRA Training program covers topics that individuals who work with IRAs deal with somewhat less frequently than the topics covered in the basic training. While there will, by necessity, be some overlap in the training due to the fact that not everyone who attends the advanced training will have attended week one, we will look deeper into any topics covered in the basic class, including a more detailed look at the “why” aspect of certain rules.

TOPICS INCLUDE

Required Distribution Administration, Death Distributions and IRA Administration, Rollovers, Transfers, and Conversions, Employer Plan Rollovers, Distributions, Recharacterization and Returned Contributions, and Health Savings Accounts.
