Emerging Leader Program

The Emerging Leader Program is an annual leadership development program designed to actively enhance the leadership, organizational and performance competencies of high-performing, high-potential next level of managers. The program establishes a network of future bank leaders who understand the complexities of being a leader and can respond to local and national issues impacting the community banking industry and their communities.

Advanced Leadership Development Program

Building on the foundation of the Emerging Leader Program (ELP), the Advanced Leadership Development Program goes deeper in the key leadership competencies of powerful coaching, change leadership, and facilitating healthy conflict. Designed for leaders primed for continued advancement within their financial institution.

Networking Forums

CBAO University’s networking forums meet quarterly and facilitate idea exchange amongst peers of a specific job function. Forum attendees discuss what’s currently going on in the industry with regard to their role and discuss ways to improve in their area.


Barret School of Banking

The Paul W. Barret, Jr. School of Banking is a non-profit independent school created by and governed by a Board of Regents, whose members are executives from banks and other firms involved with the financial services industry. The mission of the School is to provide an adult learning experience for the career-oriented individuals in commercial banking or related financial services industry business.
